Tuition using Macromedia Dreamweaver

Introduction
This is a one day course for companies or individuals in business who have
a website and would like to update it themselves, or who would like their business to gain an Internet presence.

Aims: / Learning Objectives
The aim of the day is to take out the mystery in building a website. On completion of this event the candidate will be able to build a website with text / images and good layout, promote it, upload it and update it.

Course Content
Please note that the content of the days training will be customised around your current situation - below is an example of what we can cover. i.e. you may already have a website domain registered so we would not go over that part of the course, however we are happy to work on your project with you on the day.

• Domain & Hosting Explained
  Looking at what is a domain, how to register a domain and a look at hosting options.
• Macromedia Dreamweaver
  A guide to using Dreamweaver and its design and tools
• Page Layout & Design issues
  How Web pages should be arranged and the many options of design. Also creating your own time saving template for your website
• Web photo's and imaging
  When to use and what to use for imaging on a website - JPEG and GIF files explained
• Marketing Design
  Building the website to be search engine friendly for high ranking on the search engine data-bases.
• Website Promotion
  On-line & Off-line website promotion
• Up-loading a website
  FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software explained

The course comes with documentation, which includes everything that is covered on the day and also includes a certificate of completion

1 Day – 09:30 – 12:00 lunch 12:45 – 16:30

Cost
Including lunch and refreshments the cost of the day is £150.00

Location
At Jordan IT Services new training suite Kettering, Northamptonshire, or delivered at your own work premises (This will add additional travel expenses depending on distance etc)
